Creating authentic rock music that appeals to the masses while still connecting with the listener in a vulnerable, personal place isn’t an easy feat. But for Albany, Oregon based Falling Up, the idea of presenting a positive message with intense, urgent backing music is one of its primary tasks. According to lead vocalist Jessy Ribordy, “…We’re going to make music that’s real and honest, [so] people can feel safe with us. That’s what we’d like to achieve as a band.†Falling Up transformed into a full-time musical project after the guys graduated high school in 2002. This was the dream of Jesse Ribordy, bassist Jeremy Miller, drummer Josh Shroy and later, guitarist Micah Sannan and Adam Taylor on keys.
